Zoey had her first training session yesterday and has already learned a lot.  We just got back from the vet where she got a clean bill of health and a year's supply of heartworm medicine :).UPDATE:  June 2012Zoey is an HADR Dobergirl who was adopted recently.  She was just getting settled in to her new adoptive home, when tragedy struck her new owners.  A sudden and devastating case of cancer has rendered her owner immobile and unable to care for her.  It was a difficult decision for her new owners to return Zoey to HADR, however, her prior foster home is pleased to have her back as they are quite fond of her.  Zoey is, once again, seeking an experienced dog owner human to call her own.  Zoey is great with children, but would do best in a one-animal household (though she has, in time, warmed up to her foster dog-sister, and they play very well together).  Zoey is a beautiful girl who came to us as a stray from a local shelter.  It’s hard to imagine that someone would have let this sweet girl get away!  She has natural, velvety ears and a docked tail. She’s a younger girl—just a year old! Zoey is friendly to some dogs and is fantastic with kids! Zoey can be a little dominant with other dogs, so it’s important that she have an appropriate playmate or that she’s the only dog in the home.  But don’t let that stop you from considering her!
