UPDATE: August 1st: Reagan was adopted out last month and quickly became the apple of five childen's eyes but was returned because he is very hard of hearing Regan is AVAILABLE. Reagan is amazing with children, loving, patient and protective. Reagan was adopted into a household where he is the only dog. The adopters soon discovered that Reagan didn't respond to verbal commands when he was out of visual range. Turns out that Reagan is very hard of hearing, possibly deaf. His former foster home did not notice because he has so completely adapted to his disability. Reagan sits on command and is very obedient and he coped so well in his former home because he followed the lead of the other dogs in the house. He was also very vigilant at perching himself at the picture window so he could watch and monitor his environment. He is an excellent watchdog despite his small disability. Reagan's adoptive home has decided to return Reagan for a dog with complete hearing. Reagan needs to be in a home that doesn't mind his hearing loss or he should be in a home with a companion who can complement him and be his pal as well as his ears. He also would love to be in a home with lots of kiddos as he is so exceptional with the little ones. This is one phenomenal guy!UPDATE: May 18: Reagan is precocious, inquisitive and fearless as all young pups should be. At about one year old, this boy is confident, obedient and a definite pleaser. He wants to make you happy and he is always looking to you for approval and to make sure he is doing the right thing. He exhibits a great playfullness with the prima dona Dobergirls in his foster house. Sometimes play gets a bit zealous, and he takes correction from the females in stride even though they can be a bit snippy. Squirrels in the backyard are the most amazing things and he can entertain himself for a long time in the yard observing and chasing those wondrous creatures. He adores toys and makes many trips to the toy basket to select that perfect one. He initiates play with the other Dobermans which is great so he can burn off some energy. WHen he needs alone time, he puts himself to bed in his crate. He crates beautifully, comes when called, sits on command, plays so well with others and is wonderful out in public. "He is one of the best and easiest foster boys I have ever had. He doesn't cry in his crate, he rides beautifully in the car and his transition to my chaotic household was almost seamless. This guy is one of a kind - easy, happy, smart and charming!" Reagan is new to HADR. He is a littermate to Rockefeller. He is estimated to be about a year old. He has docked tails and natural ears. These poor boys were dumped by their owner at a local s
