UPDATE: JUNE 2012Gutter had a great start in life, a murky middle and now has a bright future. And, he knows it - and deserves it! His great start is that he was loved by a young man in the military. He was called to duty last year and turned Gutter in to a kill shelter. The shelter, concerned about his being surrendered when there was someone out there who had loved him, called us. Although Gutter isn't all Dobie, we wanted to help. Now he spends his days carefree, never meeting a stranger, be it four legged or two! He chases butterflies and anything else that flutters by with abandon, leaping with all four feet off the ground. This little comedian is as sweet as they come and he is patient. Gutter awaits the next step in his future when someone will look at him and fall instantly in love. And, for other military men and women who face such a horrendous decision when called to duty, we want to be able to assure them that this guy has a champion for life in HADR and he will have his forever home - we promise!Gutter was surrendered to our program because his owner was called to Active Duty in the military. His owner made the ultimate sacrifice by placing him with HADR in order to keep our country safe! Gutter is an athletic Doberman mix (mostly likely with Lab) with a gorgeous rust colored coat. He sits, shakes, retrieves, drops it and has a great sense of humor! Gutter has yet to meet another dog that he doesn't think is fun to play with. He also has very good house manners. He crates well and enjoys watching tv! Gutter can be trained to do just about anything and he is definitely a people pleaser. Submit your application to adopt Gutter today!
