Duncan
This beautiful boy is great with other dogs (large and small) and good with cats.
Duncan is a stunning red, cropped and docked male. We think he is around 3 years old. He came to us as a stray from a shelter in north Texas. He was very emaciated and is thriving with tender loving care from his foster home. His foster home says he is a delight on a lead, plays well at the dog park and is excellent in public.
Duncan and his foster sister get along well. She is 1/10th his size and he is careful not to bowl her over, even when he's excited. He tries to play with her every once in a while, but she usually isn't that interested. Duncan doesn't really know how to play with toys so we are introducing them. From his foster home: "He has really been a doll. Short of a few minor issues right at the beginning, his transition here has been seamless! I'm actually nervous he'll get adopted too quickly because he's so awesom. He really is a great dog and would transition well into any home right away."
We don't know what circumstances caused this truly great dog to end up as a stray on the street. It is obvious he was once someone's pet as he has good house manners, sits for treats, comes when called and is an all around well-behaved and wonderful example of this great breed. Duncan is current on all vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworms and is ready for a new home today.
