Lance
Lance is a wonderful boy.
He actually will put himself into his crate for naps and rest time!
He was the only dog of an elderly man who died. The people who “inherited” Lance did exactly what their relative did not wish them to do and promptly turned him over to a shelter. This guy is a diamond in the rough. He is wonderful one on one and loves his crate where he takes all of his meals.
He isn’t used to being around other dogs and cats are new to him. He does not seem to have any animal social skills and doesn’t know how to play yet. He is learning more appropriate interactions but this will take some time and practice. He needs socialization and affection and patience as he develops new bonds. He is playful and energetic and does some retrieving in the yard. He walks and sits, although seems to be a bit rusty and does better after he runs off a little energy in the yard. He leans, sits on your foot and keeps his head in your lap while you read the paper! Lance is a big boy, about 90 lbs and strong---but that early obedience education is in there, he just needs more practice and a routine. Lance would be ideal for an active couple.
Lance is about 5 with pretty natural ears and a shiny black coat.
