Annabelle
Annabelle has had a hard life and this little girl has a long road ahead of her. But despite it all, her spunky personality is coming out.
Annabelle is about 1 1/2 years old with a docked tail and silky, natural ears. She was found on the side of Clay Road by the SPCA, appearing to have just had a litter of pups that did not survive. Her condition was grave and her emaciated body was wracked by parasites, including heartworms. The SPCA called us and we stepped in to save this girl.
The past 2 weeks have been heart-wrenching. She was nonresponsive and wouldn’t eat. Now her spunky personality is coming out. She loves to play with her foster sister, will not leave a crumb in her food bowl, enjoys a bath, is good with new visitors and loves squeaky toys. She is still learning basic commands, is house trained and does well in her kennel. This little girl has a long road ahead of her. She will be spayed when she gains about 10 more pounds and will then undergo Heartworm treatment.
She will be ready to go to her forever home in May 2008!
